The Future Is G.L.I.T.S!
Black trans movement leader Ceyenne Doroshow does not settle for a world where trans people get to survive, but insists on one where we get to live, heal, dream and build true collective futures, on our terms.
After successfully fundraising more than $1 million for the trans community in June 2020, G.L.I.T.S purchased a 12 unit apartment building in Queens, G.L.I.T.S 1 South, the first NYC housing complex bought by and for the TLGBQIA+ community. This June, we invite you to contribute to our second $1 Million Dollar fundraiser, to help us write the next chapter of G.L.I.T.S’ incredible journey:
With your support, G.L.I.T.S’ future will include:
- Building off the success of G.L.I.T.S 1 South to provide more trans-operated Housing opportunities
- Expanding our Study & Work offerings to give community members a path to long-term stability and success
- Beginning development plans for two trans-owned Wellness Centers, one on Riis Beach and another in upstate New York
- Providing Harm Reduction and Safety training around drug use, sex work, suicidality and street safety
- Continuing our End of Life Support to relieve the burden on those who have lost someone they love
- Sustaining our Emergency Fund to respond to our community's urgent and emergent needs
In a crumbling cis world, here’s to a thriving transgender society!

Greetings,
Thank you for visiting our donation page! Your kind donation will further our work of building community, education, creating sustainable living, restoring our marginalized community, and uplifting them with hope through guidance and support. Together we have successfully helped people into the U.S. seeking asylum and several members of the TLGBIA+ community in the prison system re-enter into society with great promise of a sustainable future in advocacy and activism through the help they've received from G.L.I.T.S. Believing all people are people worth fighting for, G.L.I.T.S believes in a sustainable future. G.L.I.T.S wants to be a mechanism to create jobs and safe spaces for TLGBIA+ and sex worker communities. By building areas of change, people can do great things in the future reversing systematic recidivism in the prison system.
Love and Hope,
Ceyenne Doroshow
